The Finance and Contract Committee (F&CC) of the local Municipal Corporation has approved space for playgrounds in city parks for children and has decided to frame a policy and explore the possibility of providing grounds for different games

Besides, drinking water and toilet facilities will be provided to check open defecation and insanitation near the playgrounds

A meeting of the committee was held here today, which was chaired by city Mayor Davesh Moudgil

On the issue of open air gyms, committee members suggested that the gym equipment be upgraded and the annual maintenance contract (AMC) should be fixed for a minimum of three years
